Hello Kitchen Friends,

So glad you are here. I’m now offering online cooking classes!

I’ve been teaching private cooking classes for years, and I finally took the plunge to go online (crossing my fingers I can stay on top of the tech part!)

Teaching thrills me and I get excited little shivers of anticipation to finally be able to meet some of you and invite you virtually into my kitchen. Teaching is my passion, whether it’s the students I meet in my substitute teaching life, or my dear little Kindergarteners and Grade Ones I’ve been teaching German online to this past year, or whether it’s just teaching friends a cooking trick or two. I’ve been teaching private cooking lessons for years now, but It was the tech and marketing part that kept holding me back from springing into online classes.

I’ll be focusing on teaching my most favourite passion – GERMAN CUISINE –  the mouthwatering dishes of my family heritage. I hope you will join me to learn some tips and tricks along with many great family recipes that will have you licking your lips and shouting ‘Ooom-pa-pa’! I’m starting out with a couple classes making that classic German favourite – SCHNITZEL, along with a traditional side dish, the southern German style of potato salad that is made with an oil/vinegar/broth dressing. A crispy-coated tender schnitzel is a mouthwatering joy to eat. Once you find out how easy it is, you’ll be serving it often. And the potato salad is so simple and savoury – you’ll love having that one in your repertoire to bring to all your summer barbecues, picnics, and potlucks.

Every recipe will also come with instructions for gluten free adaptations if you need to cook for a restricted diet, and I’ll be sharing lots of tips, tricks, and interesting little tidbits about the background of each dish. I have an exciting line-up of more German dishes to come in the near future and also welcome suggestions or requests you may have. The classes will be interactive (you can ask me anything . . . . well, almost!) and I’ll be right there to guide you through the cooking process so you can come out of the class with a lip-smacking finished German dish to share with your family for dinner that night. I know we’ll have a lot of fun cooking together!
